Residents in the Croton Falls Fire District approved the district’s proposed plan for a new Croton Falls Firehouse on Oct. 15,.
The district will now move forward with plans to purchase and renovate the current Verizon building at the intersection of Route 22 and Hardscrabble Road.
The new Croton Falls Firehouse will provide more space for the fire department and provide better access for emergency response to all points within the fire district.
“We would like to thank all community members who took the time to vote on this plan and for their approval,” Commissioner Robert Daros said in a press release. “The passage of this proposition will enhance the public safety of all within our fire district.”
