The campaigns of the candidates for Westchester County executive continued to roll out last minute endorsements this week in the lead up to election day Tuesday. Here’s a roundup:
Monday, incumbent Republican County Executive Rob Astorino was endorsed by more than a dozen leaders of local veterans groups at the New Rochelle Armory.
Tuesday, Astorino was endorsed by the Indian American Council of Westchester at the Royal Palace Restaurant in White Plains.
Wednesday, Democratic challenger Noam Bramson, the mayor of New Rochelle, was endorsed by the Empire State Pride Agenda, a gay and lesbian civil rights and advocacy group.
Wednesday, Bramson got the nod of UFCW 1500, the largest grocery workers union in New York State.
Wednesday, several law enforcement organizations and unions, representing thousands of police officers, endorsed the Astorino outside the County Courthouse in White Plains.
Wednesday, former Yonkers NAACP President Tanika Inlaw, endorsed Astorino in front of the Ella Fitzgerald statue in Yonkers.
Saturday, Astorino will hold a get out the vote rally at 9:30 a.m. at Broadway Field on Route 141 in Hawthorne.
