The Westchester Board of Legislators is still negotiating changes to the proposed 2014 budget and has put off decisions on final budget numbers until Monday.
The board had been scheduled to make changes to the budget Friday and take a formal vote on Monday. The board first makes additions to the budget, which was done by the legal deadline Monday, and then makes deletions to bring the spending plan into balance.
But the negotiations are expected to go through the weekend, said Legislator Peter Harckham, D-North Salem.
Some legislators have concerns about using revenue from a new management agreement for Playland to pay for expanding a child care subsidy program. The Budget Committee held discussions Friday about how much money was realistically needed to fund the program.
