The People’s Caucus of Briarcliff Manor, a civic group that encourages candidates to run for office, held its annual nominating meeting on Jan. 8 for candidates for village elections March 18.
Mark Pohar, Cesare J. Derose, Jr. and Larisa Wayne-Paulmeno were nominated for village trustee. The meeting also made nominations to the Caucus Executive Committee: Aaron Stern as chairman, Hannah Berkowitz as vice chairwoman; Tobi Klarnet as secretary and Louis Linder as treasurer.
The Caucus will hold a “Meet the Candidates Meeting/Debate” on Jan. 15 at the Middle School Theater at 8 p.m. for the village trustee candidates. Then on Jan. 22 from 3-9 p.m., the Caucus will hold a meeting to vote on which two candidates to endorse at the Village Youth Center behind the Municipal Building.
The nominating meeting will be broadcast on Channel 15 on Saturday at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, at 1 p.m., Monday, at 5:30 p.m. and Tuesday at 11 p.m.
