Reginald LaFayette, the chairman of the committee and the Westchester County Democratic elections commissioner, said the late filing is “no big thing.”
“We’re late but being late is not uncommon,” he said, noting that it is a volunteer organization. LaFayette estimated that half of the county committees in the state file late.
