The Journal News published a story Wednesday about how residents are getting a gas and electric shock in their utility bills.
Dan Ventarola, president of DanMar Systems Corp., said his company’s bill for a Cinnabon/Carvel franchise in White Plains’ Galleria Mall has also seen a huge increase.
“My electric bill went from $1200 to $1800 this month. It went up over $600 and my usage went down,” Ventarola wrote in an email Tuesday. “I called to complain and they stated that it was because demand was up. I stated that this is the winter and demand usually goes up in the summer heat because of air conditioners. No further explanation was given.”
